KATHMANDU/ISLAMABAD/NEW DELHI – An earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale jolted parts of Pakistan, West Bengal and West India and Nepal.
According to the meteorological department, the epicenter of the earthquake was the area Bhirkot near Kathmandu.
Massive tremors were felt in Malakand, Lahore, and Islamabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata where residents fled from their homes out of fear.
There was no immediate report of any casualty or damages.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier, a powerful earthquake measuring 7.9 on Richter Scale killed more than 8000 people in Nepal.
The tremor triggered panic among the people already battered by the devastating earthquake in Nepal.
