ISLAMABAD – The China President Xi Jinping has reached Islamabad on Monday for a two-day visit to unveil a $46 billion investment plan. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, President Mamnoon Hussain, three services chiefs, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and other federal ministers received him at Nur Khan Airbase.
All members of the federal cabinet were present to welcome the Chinese president Xi Jinping on his historical trip but Interior Minister of Pakistan Chaudhry Nisar was found completely out of scene.
He was not seen in the welcoming ceremony and not even on the signing ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s office.
It is pertinent to mention here that the two sides, Pakistan and China signed agreements and inaugurated projects in energy, transport infrastructure and economic cooperation.
