Zardari's Presidential Immunity Expires |PakistanTribe.comISLAMABAD- Special prosecutor from National Accountability Bureau(NAB), Raja Khuram Ijaz, has filed a petition in accountability court to reopen the case against the former President of the country, Asif Zardari.

Justic Raja Ikhlaq Hussain heard this the case in Accountability Court regarding the Assests of the Asif Ali Zardari.

The petitioner has requested while giving his argument that Mr. Asif Ali Zardi is not enjoying any type of presidential immunity now so the reference case should be reopened.

The court has accepted the petition and ordered Asif Ali Aardari to appear in court personally.

This case had been filed against Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardi in 2001 in the era of General Musharraf, but its hearing had been suspended in 2010 due to the presidential immunity to the Asif Ali Zardari.

The Petitioner maintains that Asif Ali Zardari is not enjoying any Presidential immunity so the case should be reopened and justice should prevail because rules and law are common for everyone in Pakistan.
