Government Decides To Cut Down The Prices Of CNG |PakistanTribe.comISLAMABAD – The government has decided to cut down the prices Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), as Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has again added a working paper for 23 percent reduction.

The final authority of the price reduction lies with the Petroleum Ministry. The Petroleum Ministry has to notify the working Paper as submitted by the OGRA.

The notification about the drop-off in the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) will be delivered when an advice from Petroleum Ministry for the purpose is received.

OGRA officials were cleared that the decision about cutting down the prices of CNG has been taken when the annulment of gas infrastructure development tax was taken.

In Sindh and Punjab the gas prices will be cut down by Rs.16.11/kg and the fresh price will be Rs.55.39/kg in the two provinces.

According to the official sources, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, Compressed Natural Gas will go down by Rs.17.63 per kilogram.

The new schedule of gas prices will come into effect if the Petroleum Ministry gives a go-ahead in this regard as soon as possible.
