While talking to Voice of America, Pakistani psychologists Dr. Munir shah, practicing in Pennsylvania, explains that coloring pictures is a sort of self-expression due to which one can get relaxed and he feels happy.


Being human it is a part of our nature that we love to do the things which make us feel good and happy. Coloring releases stress and lowers depression and it is practiced fact. Coloring benefits are so considerable that coloring books are available not only for children but for each age group. Books having pictures to be colored are designed for every age group to make them stress free and happy

A journal named Prevention explains that by coloring such books people recall past good memories, their creativity boosts up and their depression releases. Journal also revealed good news about an interesting research which says that a person could maintain his mental health even at old age by adopting coloring habit and other creative activities
