RAWALPINDI – With making records of deadline after deadline, finally the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project is near to completion, PakistanTribe.com reported.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif are all set to inaugurate Rawalpindi – Islamabad Metro Bus project on April 30, 2015.
According to the government’s provided information, the project will be completed till April 20 and the preparation for inauguration ceremony will also be completed till April 25.
Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project Chairman Hanif Abbasi and Commissioner Zahid Saeed will be hosting the ceremony.
Officials expecting, that the full dress rehearsal for inauguration ceremony and remaining work on metro bus project will be completed till next week.
Beautification work which includes trees and flowers plantations on the eye-land will be done till April 22.
According to sources related to the project, the ceremony will be held in Islamabad due to security reasons.
It is pertinent to mention here that the track of the Metro Bus Service takes start from Flashman’s Hotel Chowk on Murree Road (Rawalpindi) and ends at Pak Secretariat (Islamabad) after covering total distance of 23.2 k.m. via Murree Road, Faizabad Rawalpindi, IJ P Road, 9th Avenue and Jinnah Avenue (Blue Area) of Islamabad.
Total 24 modern stations for passengers are built on the whole track out of which 10 are on Murree Road and the remaining 14 are in Islamabad area.
