Google launches chrome operating system for middle class users and for schools and also a new product named as chrome bit device which looks like a big memory stick.
It can turn into a computer if the chrome is plugged into the HDMI ports of monitors and TVs.
According to Google chrome, the cheapest chrome book laptop will be available costing around $150. With the Google launches of new products it is expected that the competition with Microsoft will be intense.
Google launches Chrome computers a day after the Microsoft announced to bring new cheap hybrid laptops to market.
The cost of surface 3 laptop is around $500 but it provides access to a wider range of software made for the Windows platform.
Technology analyst at Davies Murphy says “there is a huge demand for such products and schools expect that parents buy personal laptops for their child that’s why the companies are making low-cost laptops so that they can buy for their children and for themselves.”
Google spokesman said that in the beginning chrome and chrome bits boxes will be available in the US, we would hope that in the future it will also be available in other countries, but we have nothing more to announce at this time.
Two new laptops Haier ChromeBook 11 and Hisense ChromeBook have already launched in the market.
Haier ChromeBook 11 is available only at Amazon while Hisense ChromeBook is being sold on Walmart.com
Asus ChromeBook Flip will soon to be available in the market.
Taiwanese manufacturer Asus will make the Chromebits. Google says that they will be available in the market before the end of next year and the cost would be less than $100.
