Grand Operation Against Beggars, 42 Arrested |PakistanTribe.comRAWALPINDI – City Traffic Police launched the grand operation against the beggars on the Highways and Crossroads in March and arrested 42 beggars.

The City Traffic Police arrested many beggars from markets and highways of Rawalpindi. The Grand Operation was practiced against the beggars in March.

The City Police hand over the children, who were begging, to the Child Protection Bureau.

The other 11 professional beggars were also arrested and case was filed against those beggars under the Vagrancy Ordinance of Pakistan 1958.

According to Police, there are many people join this vagabond field just because of their own selfishness and clumsiness.

Police said that we will now take strict measures in order to discredit the persons from begging and creating problems for the people.

Such people affect the flow of traffic on the roads and keep on knocking windows of cars on traffic signals. Sometimes, these beggars are very rich but keep begging just for the fun of it.

It was seen in the operation that many people hold their own clubs and hire person for begging for some remuneration. Police showed its resolve to solve the matter to the full perfection of it and committed to take the person involved in professional begging to the trial.

Police revealed there is a vast network operated by the people, and this begging industry is flourishing at the cost of security and peace of the citizens.
