QUETTA – Government will take legal action against those schools (including religious schools) that will refuse to polio vaccination of their schools children, said Balochistan Emergency Cell liaison Dr. Saif ur Rehman, PakistanTribe.com reported.
In a meeting with the officials of World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and other international organizations Dr. Saif-ur-Rehman said that all these measures are taken to make the country polio-free.
He said that any interruption during the vacation plan or any efforts to halt the campaign will consider as a serious crime. Hence, people involved in such activities will be dealt according to the law.
During the meeting Dr. Saif-ur-Rehman announced that government has resolute to take serious actions against those schools administration whose will not cooperate with the polio vaccination team.
He further said that government has been imposed emergency to counter with serious illnesses in the country and any irresponsible behavior from the administration will not be tolerated.
Saif-ur-Rehman said that the Government will also charge those medical officers of Union Council who will submit forged documents of child absence.
