ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI – A US citizen Mark Sehgal, also a journalist and principal witness of Benazir Bhutto Murder case refused to come to Pakistan to record his statement against court following the security reasons, PakistanTribe reported.
Despite of court summons to Mark Sehgal, the US based journalist refusing to obey court’s orders said that he can not not come to Pakistan due to security reasons however he agreed to record his statement on video link.
Earlier an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi had issued arrest warrants for witnesses of the prosecution in Benazir Bhutto murder case. The witnesses include former interior minister, former interior secretary Kamal Shah, Assistant commissioner Islamabad Kamran Cheema, Station House Officer Dera Cantonment DI Khan Niaz Muhammad Khan, inspector Adnan and FIA inspector Naseer Ali Khan.
Court has already given the arrest warrants of eye witnesses in BB murder case. After seven years of assassination of former Prime Minister, neither the case been resolved nor any big milestone be achieved.
Seven years have been passed and the witnesses of the assassinations have been giving the same statement but nothing have been found yet.
Every eye witness have lost its interest in the case as they are continuously being called by court to record their same statements.
