KHYBER AGENCY – As many as 10 militants killed as US Drone fired two missiles in Naziyan Area of Khyber agency near Afghan border early morning today, PakistanTribe reported.
Sources of security forces confirmed the news but the death figure told by security sources was seven. It was also told that seven of them were the commanders of outlawed movement Lashkar-e-Islam.
Driver of Lashkar e Islam Chief Mangal Bagh was also died in the attack.
A local television correspondent quoted the words of security forces’ sources “the commanders of Lashkar e Islam were gathered for a meeting otherwise they rarely stay together.”
Reporting about the US drone strike in Pakistan, a local televised media in Islamabad claimed that “US drone strikes on Pakistani soil over the past decade have claimed the lives of some 2,200 people.”
It refers the reports of Pakistani Lawmakers stating that “According to figures presented in a report by Pakistani lawmakers, 2,199 people have been killed and 282 others injured in the US drone attacks in Pakistan.”
“Nearly 210 houses and 60 vehicles have also reportedly been damaged.”
