ISLAMABAD – Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani arrives at Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad on Monday for two-day official visit, PakistanTribe reported.
Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad was honored with the 21-gun salute at his arrival in airport.
Earlier foreign office of Pakistan had issue a statement about his arrival in Islamabad. The statement stated that “the Emir of the State of Qatar is visiting Pakistan along with a high-level delegation including cabinet ministers, Chairman of Qatar Airways and senior government officials from March 23 to 24 on the invitation of PM Nawaz.”
The statement further said that “the official visit of the Emir of Qatar will provide a fresh impetus to bilateral relations.”
Foreign office spokesperson said that “during the visit, the Emir will meet with President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest and both sides are expected to discuss ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields including energy, investment, trade, defence and manpower.”
“The signing of agreements will further extend mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in various fields,” the spokesperson added.
