ISLAMABAD – After seven years, the nation will be seeing the parade on Pakistan Day in the capital, but the price has to be paid by Islamabad and Rawalpindi people.

On the occasion of Yaum-e-Pakistan tomorrow, Islamabad Expressway from Khanna Pul to Zero Point will be closed for general traffic from 06 am to 2 pm.

According to ISPR, only vehicles coming to parade ground will be allowed at Expressway. Other traffic will be diverted at Khanna Pul to Lehtrar Road, Rawal Dam and Kashmir Highway.

The entry of heavy traffic will be banned in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi from midnight tonight till 2 pm tomorrow.

The parade was on pending for the last seven years after the security threats rose to extreme level.

However, to show the wall of courage against the terrorists after the launch of Zarb e Azb and other strategic attacks on militant hide outs, Pakistan Day parade was announced by the leadership this year.
