Bill Gates, an American business magnate, philanthropist, investor, computer programmer, and inventor doesn’t seem to be aging in the foreseeable future . Gates originally established his reputation as the co-founder of Microsoft, the world’s largest PC software company,
In 1975 few would have thought that Gates’ new start up Microsoft would transform the PC software industry there by making him the world’s richest person in the process. Few people are born as gifted as Gates is. Besides, his incredible propensity for identifying and profiting from technological trends is implausible.
Surprising, Gates didn’t just remained limited to building his Microsoft Empire though. Through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation he has since directed his keen business shrewdness and problem-solving competence to a new mission: eradicating malaria, measles, AIDS, hepatitis B and an array of other communicable diseases.
But the Gates don’t just pour out dollars. True to the Microsoft visionary’s nature, the foundation seeks to find innovative ways to solve the world’s problems—like creating its own malaria vaccines instead of simply buying them.
Besides being the Microsoft inventor, Gates has pursued a number of philanthropic endeavors, donating large amounts of money to various charitable organizations and scientific research programs through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, established in 2000.
Putting it differently, despite achieving a breakthrough in his field he doesn’t seem to to losing his interests in venturing in various other realms as well.
