Shahbaz announces Rs 10 mn for Rawalpindi blast victims | PakistanTribeLAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday announced Rs 10 million compensation for the families of policemen killed in Tuesday’s Rawalpindi suicide blast.

Chairing a meeting regarding law and order situation, the Chief Minister said that martyred policemen set a great example of bravery by sacrificing their lives while protecting the citizens.

He said that those policemen averted a major disaster. On the occasion, CM Shahbaz announced that government will bear all the education expenditures of the martyred policemen’s children.

It is worth mentioning here that four persons including three police officials including inspector and sub-inspector Rabnawaz and Nemat Ali wee killed and over 10 others were injured in the result of the suicide attack outside the Imambargah in Grassy Lane. Meanwhile the funeral prayers of martyred were offered at police line and were sent to their respective areas.

Inspector Rabnawaz was seriously injured in the attack and succumb to injures in the hospital.
