ISLAMABAD – The command of Pakistan Air Force has been given to new Air Martial Sohail Aman in a ceremony held in Air Headquarter on Thursday, PakistanTribe reported.
The Command of Air Force has been passed over from the former Air Martial Air Tahir Rafique Butt air Marshal Sohail Aman. Tahir Rafique Butt was given the Guard Of Honor to salute his services for Pakistan Air force.
Addressing to ceremony, the former Chief Martial said that he took steps to enhance the capacities for PAF and PAF is equipped with the latest Technology. “Government has fully supported the PAF” he said.
He added that PAF is playing a commendable role in countering terrorism in Pakistan. Besides, PAF proved its competencies during Zarb e Azb operation as well.
Gifts were also distributed among the outstanding students in Pakistan Air Force during the ceremony.
The new Air Chief Air Marshall Sohail Aman has been appointed on the recommendations of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The names for the new Chief of Air Staff (CAS) that were presented before the prime minister included Air Marshal Muhammad Jamshaid Khan, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff Support (DCAS-S), Air Marshal Sohail Aman, Deputy Chief of Air Staff (DCAS-Operation) and Air Marshal Sohail Gul Khan.
