PESHAWAR – Police prepared the first information report of attack on Dr Afridi’s Advocate, PakistanTribe reported.
In the initial details, it was reported that two pillion riders shot Samiullah, the former advocate of Dr Afridi, while he was in his way to home.
Report further reveals that the attackers used a pistol of 30 bore and shot three bullets. Samiullah received bullets in chest and throat which caused his death.
The attackers escaped to tribal area on their bike with no number plate.
Dr Shakil Afridi’s lawyer Samiullah Afridi was shot dead near Peshawar on Tuesday. Police officials had confirmed that Samiullah was shot dead at on Warsak Road.
Shakir Khan, a senior police officer, had told to an international media that unidentified assailants shot and killed Samiullah Khan Afridi on Tuesday in Peshawar before fleeing.
The killing comes just months after he announced that he will no longer be representing Dr Shakil Afridi, who was convicted in May 2012 of “conspiring against the state” by giving money and providing medical treatment to fighters, not for helping the CIA track down bin Laden.
Ahsanullah Ahsan, a spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban-linked Jamaat-ul-Ahrar group, claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s killing.
The statement said: “The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Jamaat ur Ahrar accepts responsibility for the attack on Samiullah, the lawyer of Shakil Afridi, who was co-operating with the killers of Sheikh Osama bin Laden. The enemy should remember that we will kill each and every one of the killers of each of our brothers.”
