LAHORE- Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahir ul Qadri says that calling for rangers to maintain law and order in the city is nothing but the proof of government’s failure, PakistanTribe reported.
Dr. Qadri further voiced his displeasure towards the incapability of the government that if the rangers and the military have to perform every duty then why these rulers are imposed on public. He stressed that the government should better leave on its own.
Considering the government’s in-capabilities, he suggested that the rangers should be appointed on the permanent basis to ensure the peace and security.
“The police are to be held responsible for those who were burnt to death just on the basis of suspicion. Had the police effectively performed its duty on time, further destruction and misery could have been avoided,” he said while talking to the Punjab president Basharat Jaspal.
“15 funerals were lifted from the house of Christian community residing in Lahore, but none of the government representative bothered to contact the grieved families timely,” he criticized.
He requested the Christian Community to be patient and tolerant.
