TIKRIT – The international militant group ISIS aka Daesh detonated the grave of Saddam Hussein, the former president of Iraq, PakistanTribe learnt through international media reports.
The Malaysian soldiers that are fighting along Iraqi Forces against the terrorist group ISIS aka Daesh at Tikrit – the city in northern Iraq – stated that “The tomb of Saddam Hussein that was located in Al oja at Southern Tikrit, was blown-up by militant group. There is not a single trace left at the area.”
Reporting the incident an international media outlet stated that “Poster-sized pictures of Saddam, which once covered the mausoleum, were nowhere to be seen amid the mountains of concrete rubble. Instead, Shia militia flags and photographs of militia leaders marked the predominantly Sunni village, including that of Major General Qassem Soleimani, the powerful Iranian general advising Iraqi Shia militias on the battlefield.
Referring an official of Shia Militias, formally known as Popular Mobilization Force, it further stated, “This is one of the areas where IS militants massed the most because Saddam’s grave is here.”
It is important to recall that, ISIS had partially pegged Saddam’s grave in the month of August last year. Also they took out the remains of the former president of Iraq.
