KARACHI – MQM Leader Altaf Hussain openly denies the presence of militant wing in his party and says that MQM believes in the politics of non-violence, PakistanTribe reported.
Altaf Hussain said that there is no militant wing in MQM and MQM believes in the politics of Non-Violence. He also addressed the people protesting against NineZero raid and said ‘people talking about the encounter policy against Rangers are not the part of MQM’.
“Some people are spreading the messages of MQMs reaction against Rangers on social media, this is a conspiracy against MQM,” Altaf Hussain said.
He added “”MQM is progressive, liberal and democratic party,” the leader said. Addressing to his party workers and part leader he said “Do not forget the training of peace and harmony.”
He had also claimed that Umair Siddiqui, an MQM worker who has reportedly confessed to the involvement of his party’s activists in the 2012 Baldia factory fire, was never arrested during Rangers’ raid at Nine-Zero.
“The truth is that Umair was arrested on February 15 and was subjected to inhumane torture. When lawyers tried to raise this matter, their appeals were not heeded,” said the MQM chief, while speaking to a television channel by phone from London.
“The Rangers are misleading people by saying that Umair was arrested from Nine-Zero on March 11,” he had said.
