LAHORE – Angry Christian community is protesting against last day’s suicide attack on Church in Ferozepur Road Lahore, PakistanTribe reported.
The road has been blocked with burning tyres and the protesters are holding banners against government and suicide attack. They are chanting the slogans for immediate arrest of responsible.
Protesters have also blocked the metro bus route and metro bus service is still suspended.
One of the rickshaw drivers in Millat Chowk Faisalabad also brutally beaten by the protesters. The protest is underway in Faisalabad also in solidarity with christian community.
On Sunday, fourteen people were killed and more than 70 injured when two Taliban suicide bombers had attacked churches.
Jamaat-ur-Ahrar, a Pakistani Taliban (TTP) offshoot, claimed responsibility for both the attacks.
The group appeared to have timed the attacks to cause maximum devastation, as the two churches were packed with Christians attending Sunday services when the bombs went off.
