RAWALPINDI – Election Tribunal disqualified the MNA of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Chaudhry Hamid Hameed and ordered for re-election in constituency, PakistanTribe.com reported.

Election tribunal announced the decision on a petition filed by Barrister Abdullah Mumtaz Kahloon against the Hamid Hameed who got  132668 in the general election of 2013.

In 2008 general elections, PPP and PML-N were the real players and PPP candidate Tasneem Ahmad Qureshi won NA 66 seat after a neck to neck competition with Hamid Hameed of PMLN.

NA66 is an urban constituency which is historically dominated by PMLN since 1988. In 1988 and 1991 this seat of Sargodha city was won by Javed Cheema of Jamat e Islami on IJI platform but later in 1993 and 1997 this seat was won by Ch Abdul Hameed (late) but after that, this seat is under control of PPP Tasneem Qureshi.
