KARACHI – Pakistan football team will face Yemen in the first leg of the two-match tie of FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 Pre-Qualifier today (Thursday) at Hammad Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

Pakistan Coach Shamlan Al Mubarik said that the team’s morale was high before the match and he expects his boys would put up a good show.

“We are going in the match with positive frame of mind. It is very important match for us and a win here can give us an edge as the second leg will be in front of home crowd, in home conditions,” he said.

Coach Shamlan faces a late defensive worry with captain Zesh Rehman not being released by Pahang in time for the crunch tie. In his absence, the defence is expected to led by Denmark-based Nabil Aslam, who could be joined by Isa Town’s Mohammad Ahmed, Ahsanullah of KRL and Navy’s Mohammad Bilal.

Match will start at 8:30 PM according to the Pakistan Standard Time.

Qatari sports channel Al-Kass TV has confirmed it will LIVE STREAM the Yemen vs Pakistan – 2018 WCQ Asian Zone 1st Rd 1st Leg.

The second leg of the tie will be played at Punjab Football Stadium in Lahore on March 17, 2015.
