KARACHI – Sister of Saulat Mirza has filed the application against death warrant issued by Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Karachi on Wednesday, Pakistantribe.com reported.
It was said in the petition that appeal against death penalty of Saulat Mirza is being heard in Supreme Court (SC).
The applicant has requested for the withdrawal of death warrant.
On Wednesday, jail authorities had filed a request with an ATC in Karachi requesting for issuance of death warrant for the death row prisoner, who is an activist of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
Mirza was sentenced to death by an anti-terrorism court in May 1999 for murdering the managing director of then Karachi Electric Supply Corporation Shahid Hamid, his driver Ashraf Brohi and guard Khan Akbar in July 1997.
