ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister of Pakistan Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan revealed that Rangers operation was done on the intelligence report.
Chaudhry Nisar said that Rangers raid was done at Nine-Zero on the intelligence reports. Interior minister also that the Rangers raid was according to the law of Pakistan.
Interior minister also mentioned that there is consensuses of all political on Karachi operation.
Earlier, the Sindh Rangers, which carried out a siege and raid operation at the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters (Nine-Zero) early on Wednesday, said that they have also sized arms and ammunition that were meant for NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan.
While talking to media persons soon after the raid, Sindh Rangers Col Tahir said that the sale of some of the seized arms and ammunition that were found at the Nine-zero were banned in Pakistan. “This is my personal hunch that some of the arms were meant for NATO,” he said adding that all will be clear after a thorough investigation.
According to earlier reports, thousands of NATO containers containing arms and ammunition went missing inside Pakistan in 2011 and before.
Former Sindhi interior minister Zulfiqar Mirza had also alleged that MQM was responsible for these missing containers, as, according to him, Babar Ghauri of MQM was the Ports and Shipping Minister, when these containers went missing.
The MQM strongly denied the allegations if the containers were stolen there would have been some FIRs registered and while police was under Mirza as Home Minister.
In 211, the Federal Board of Revenue said that thousands of the unchecked containers belonging to NATO, ISAF and US Military had left the Karachi Port, but did not cross the Pak-Afghan.
