Prince Aga Khan’s likely ‘Yes’ for heavy investment exploring 90,000MW potential

Aga Khan Network investment in Pakistan power projectsISLAMABAD: Aga Khan Development Network, an influential and resourceful group of Aga Khani community, is likely to invest in energy sector of Pakistan.

Pakistan financial mind Ishaq Dar, who is the federal minister of the country, invites spiritual leader of the community, Prince Karim Aga Khan, to make measures for investing in the much needed sector of power.

He was meeting with the prince to discuss matters of bilateral issues.

Dar was of the view that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz government was forming a combination of good governance, transparency, strict financial discipline and merit.

The minister invited Prince Karim to invest in hydropower generation projects, which has potential of generating up to 90,000 Mega Watt electricity using Indus River.

Prince replied that Aga Khan Development Network has a keen desire to extend operations in Pakistan.

Aga Khan community is considered as one of the most influential communities in the country with its coordinated links and mutual cooperation.
