New Heights Of Success For Pakistan Pacer in World Cup 2015
Auckland: With he was the key wicket taker for the Green Shirts, pacer Sohail Khan believes that AB de Villiers wicket take him to new heights of world cup success.

Sohail, 31, ended the speedy innings of South African skipper on 77, as he was about to clinch the victory from Pakistan’s pacers hand.

The big wicket on the right time got the Pakistan much needed victory in the world cup, boosting the courage and morale of the Green shirts, stumbling after back to back bad events including injuries, Moin Khan casino saga and bad performances.

“He (de Villiers) was taking the match away, so when I came to bowl with around 30-odd runs left to defend I bowled one full length delivery and then a back of a length and my word, I was thrilled to see he edged it to the keeper,” AFP quotes Sohail while talking with newsmen.

“It was a big wicket, the biggest of my career so far because his is a big name, the world’s top batsman.”

“That helped us win the game and we were all delighted with that wicket.”

“Now I have more confidence and I want a five-for in the next game,” the pacer said hinting at a must-watch spells in the upcoming match against Ireland on Sunday.

This will be the decisive match for all the teams including Pakistan, Ireland, West Indies and South Africa. So all the good news and all the bad news will be depending on this match for Pool B.

“We bowled as per the plan given to us by the coach (Waqar Younis) and the skipper (Misbah) and bowled with a lot of heart and energy,” said Sohail who finished with one for 36 in his five overs.

He added that if the Pakistan attack maintained that form they would go far at this World Cup. “We have that will and the passion, so if we keep bowling like that, support each other, then we can go a long way in the tournament.”
