ISLAMABAD – Foreign policy adviser to Prime Minister said that Chinese President has the visit of Pakistan, PakistanTribe.com reported.
National Security Advisor as well as key adviser on the foreign policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Sartaj Aziz on Friday confirmed that Chinese President cancelled his visit to Pakistan that was scheduled on 23 March 2015.
He said that he will visit Pakistan soon. While talking to media persons he said that Pakistan found no break through in talks with the Indian Foreign Secretary.
Earlier,Chinese President Xi Jinping has expressed willingness to visit Pakistan in March 23 to attend Pakistan Day parade in response to what diplomatic sources said Obama’s visit to India to attend Republic Day.
Sources said that China has almost given consent to Pakistan’s invitation to Chinese President to attend Pakistan Day parade on March 23 this year, an annual even being held after the gape of seven years. Due to terrorism, the country have not held the event since 2007.
On Thursday, A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson told media in Beijing: “We are willing to keep this momentum with the Pakistan side.”
Chinese foreign ministry’s spokesperson Hong Lei was responding a question in media briefing about the invitation for President Xi.
