This Cricket World Cup brings a lot of fun and joy for cricket lovers as teams are smashing 300 plus and 400 plus in their innings.

New Zealand and Australian pitches was considered as paradise for bowlers but this world cup turned it to 180 degree as teams are scoring 400 plus runs in an inning.

In this world cup co-host Australia smashed 417 runs against Afghanistan and break the record of highest runs total that was 413 against Bermuda in World Cup 2007.

South African team also crossed the 400-run mark against Ireland. Proteas scored 411 runs with the loss of only four wickets.

These targets were set on the pitches of Australian and New Zealand not on the grounds of India and UAE. These pitches reflects the shadows of Indian pitches where ball can not bounce more than four feet.

Talking about the highest individual, batsmen smashed 150 runs in world cup like they were playing tap ball cricket.

Star batsman of West Indies team Chris Gayle scored 215 runs against Zimbabwe, Australian left handed David Warner scored 178, Skipper of South African team AB devilliers 162, Sri Lanakan team’s all rounder Dilshan 161, and Hashim Amla scored 159 runs in a inning. All these big hundreds were made in pool matches and it is not over yet.

Even Pakistani player also included in the list best performances as Misbah ul Haq placed on the top in the list of players with most fifties so far in this mega event. Misbah ul Haq scored three fifties so far in the tournament with the average of 55.25.

On the other hand, this world cup is so cruel for bowlers as they were suffering from big hits. This world cup badly effects the economy records of bowlers.
