BANNU – Inter services Public Relations (ISPR) claims the arrest of a terrorist, member of outlawed Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from Sargana Rasool Khan area of Bannu earlier on Friday.
ISPR told media that a terrorist was arrested from Sargana Rasool Khan area of Bannu. His presence was known to security forces following some intelligence information.
ISPR further told that the militant was involved in several dozens activities conducting in KP and Federal Administrative Tribal Area (FATA).
“Three fake passports and more than 100 ID cards were recovered from his custody,” ISPR also confirmed.
He was immediately shifted to some unknown place for further investigation. His identiy was not disclosed to media for security reasons.
ISPR said that the network of militants in KPK and FATA has almost been traced and their top militants have either arrested or repelled out of the area.
Pakistan had also discussed the security issue with Afghanistan where president Ashraf Ghani is heading the government.
Raheel Sharif had met with Afghan President immediate after the attack on Army Public School on December 16, the black day of Pakistan’s history.
Ashraf Ghani had not only promised Pakistan for full cooperation in war against terrorism but also conducted a grand crack down in different provinces of Afghanistan to arrest the Taliban militants.
