ISLAMABAD/RIYADH – Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif flies for three day official visit to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, PakistanTribe reported.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will hold talks with Saudi King. Before leaving to Saudi Arabia he said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia both are brother countries who share common religious and cultural values.
He also said that every Pakistan has a deep respect for New Saudi king.
Despite all the official and superficial statements, it is fact that Saudi Arabia is under great criticism in Pakistan due to its intervention in Pakistan’s internal affairs.
Proves were found about the Saudi Arabian government’s involvement in militancy in Pakistan.
Punjab government had formally admitted the involvement of ‘brother Muslim countries’ in the militancy in Pakistan. Home Minister of Punjab says that the ‘Madrassahs’ were traced which were financed by some ‘Arab Countries’.
An official, also a member of National Action Plan committee, had confirmed that “These madrassas are located in Jhang, Chiniot, Attock, Gujranwala, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Khushab, Rajanpur, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan and other districts of the province.”
He further said that “Our initial surveillance suggested that in Punjab, more than 170 madrassas are directly funded by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.”
However Saudi Embassy in Pakistan had formally denied all the allegations and said that KSA is only involve in official aid and official support for Pakistan.
