NAPIER – Pakistan to face United Arab Emirates (UAE) in game 25 of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015  in Napier on Wednesday.

Pakistan will target a huge improvement in batting to boost their net run-rate in the World Cup Pool B match against minnows United Arab Emirates.

Pakistan s long standing batting woes have continued in the tournament as they lost their opening game against arch-rivals India by 76 runs and went down by a big 150-run margin in their second to the West Indies.

The National team is favorite for tomorrow’s match against UAE, Green shirts acquired first victory in the tournament by defeating Zimbabwe.

South Africa and India secured top positions in group B. Meanwhile, West Indies, Ireland and Zimbabwe are still ahead of Pakistan in group position.

Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq acknowledged the UAE’s support by saying: “UAE is very important for us, whatever we did in the last four years, UAE has played a big part by giving us grounds to clean-sweep England, Australia and beat Sri Lanka,” said Misbah, who once played league cricket in the Gulf.

Match will start at 14:00 local (01:00 GMT).

Match will telecast in Pakistan at 6:00 am according to Pakistan Standard Time.
