LAHORE – Ali Zafar and his wife Ayesha Fazli were blessed with a daughter on February, 23 and after much discussion on what they should name her, it’s the couple’s four-year-old son who eventually found a name for his baby sister.
“We have decided on calling her Alyza which means joy. It was my son Azaan, who was strongly rooting for the name and we finally went with his suggestion. I am thrilled to see him beautifully slipping into the role of an elder brother,” said Ali.
Having made his Bollywood debut with the 2010 sleeper hit Tere Bin Laden, Ali has featured in several hits, including Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Chashme Baddoor, and was the first Pakistani actor to have made a mark in mainstream Hindi cinema. Trying to re-invent himself with every project, the actar has consciously shed his boy-next-door image and adopted the action hero avatar in this action-romance fare.
While his character’s dry sense of humour has been liked by many, his intense performance has got a nod of approval from the audience as well as critics.
Ali Zafar found fame in Bollywood as a romantic hero but the Pakistani singer-actor is now keen to change that image with his gun-toting, gangster avatar in his movie ‘Kill Dil’.
