ISLAMABAD/NEW YORK – Former Pakistani ambassador to US, Maleeha Lodhi vows to protect and defend the interests of her country in the world’s biggest democratic forum, United Nations, PakistanTribe received international media reports.
She said that defending and representing her country in United nation is honor for her.
“It is a great honour and privilege to represent Pakistan at such a critical moment for the country and at a time when the world is undergoing fundamental changes,” she said in an interview to international media outlet.
She was, when asked, about her core objectives and aim in UN she responded “first and foremost to protect and promote Pakistan’s vital national interests and ensure that the country’s policies and views on critical issues are clearly articulated and fully understood.”
She also told international media about the priorities of Pakistan as she said that “the establishment of internal peace and stability is the overriding priority, which entails a robust law enforcement campaign that is underway, aimed at defeating militancy and countering violent extremism.”
It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan is facing the biggest challenge of security for the last few decades. At any International forum, Pakistan informs the global community about the challenges faced to its internal and external peace.
Maleeha Lodhi also prioritize the security Challenger at first as this is about survival of Pakistan.
