PESHAWAR – Officials of Peshawar Electric Supply Company are observing strike in Peshawar in PESCO head quarter against privatization and less privileges, PakistanTribe reported.
PESCO officials are observing strike in PESCO head office Peshawar against the privatization. The officials demand for more privileges in their wages also.
“We are not given ‘Hard Area Allowance’ and wages are also very less,” said the officials. No one will work in office today and we will continue protest till the fulfilling of our demands,” it was added.
Offices were locked by PESCO strike observer officials.
Earlier on February 17, central executive committee meeting of WAPDA Hydro Electric Labour Union held in Lahore. It was decided in the meeting that workers from all over the country will reach in Islamabad protest. They decided to have protest against the ongoing privatization process of Wapda distribution companies Like Gepco, Mepco, Fesco, Sepco, Qesco and Hesco.
The meeting was presided over by the CBA Union President Mr. Abdul Latif Nizamani.
