ISLAMABAD/DHAKA – Recording the Protest against Bangladesh government, Pakistan International Airline (PIA) suspended all its flight operations to Bangladesh.

PIA has suspended all its flights to Bangladesh following the harassment of its crew by Bangladesh intelligence agencies.

Initially the decision of flight operation suspension was taken till March 10th.

Bangladesh intelligence agencies had not only tried to harass the PIA crew but once the PIA crew staff house in Dhaka was raided by Bangladesh intelligence agencies.

Following the raid on PIA staff house, Pakistan had taken up the matter with Bangladesh government, Foreign office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam had said on Thursday.

Bangladeshi intelligence officers have been harassing PIA officials for the past two months. On Wednesday, PIA flight PK-266 was delayed for three hours for security checks.

However Bangladesh Authorities claim that the PIA crew is involved in smuggling of drugs. They say that the intelligence agencies have concrete evidences about the involvement of PIA crew in drug smuggling.
