ISLAMABAD/WASHINGTON DC – General Rizwan Akhtar, Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) reaches US on official visit, PakistanTribe reported.
General Rizwan Akhtar will meet with Director Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to share intelligence information of mutual benefits. He will also discuss the situation of regional stability in security point of view.
DG ISI had earlier visited to Afghanistan along with Army Chief Raheel Sharif. Pakistan is concerned with its state security internally and externally.
It is pertinent to mention that US believes that Pakistan is not safe country to travel. It also warns its citizens to avoid unnecessary travelling to Pakistan.
Pakistani authorities claim that they are overcoming the security situation as they have launched grand operation against Taliban militants.
DG ISPR Major General Asim Bajwa, in an interview to US media outlet, had said that the terrorists have been repelled back and only a small strip of FATA is to be clear yet.
Whereas US pentagon had said that Pakistan is still a safe zone for terrorists. They believe that ISI is not doing much against Taliban.
Pakistan had met a deadly attack on December 16 last year when terrorists had killed more than 160 people in an attack on Army Public School. After the attack, Pakistan had taken aggressive safety measure against Taliban militants as it had launched different operations, country wide, under National Action Plan.
