KARACHI – Police and Rangers arrested a commander of outlawed movement Tehreek i Taliban Pakistan Sawat group in an operation conducted in metro well area of Karachi, PakistanTribe reported.
According to details police and Rangers last night raided on the hideout of alleged commander of TTP Sawat group. Police told that they had received a tip-off about presence of TTP commander.
Police also claimed to recover the weapons from his possession. “He had hand grenades, TT Pistols and a number of bullets,” said police official.
Police has shifted him to some unknown place where he is being investigated about his network in Karachi and other parts of country.
Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan is one of the outlawed movements which are involved in militancy in Pakistan and Afghanistan. TTP has its sub groups like Darra Adam Khail group, sawat group and others. All of them are fully involved in militancy.
Rangers in Karachi have started search operations, intelligence based operations (IBO) and targeted operations in order to completely eliminate terrorism from the area.
