Ishaq Dar Declares Current Fiscal Year Good Time For Pakistani Economy | PakistanTribe.comISLAMABAD – Pakistan Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has said that the country’s economy is expected to grow around five percent during the current fiscal year.

According to the PakistanTribe’s (PT) correspondent from Islamabad, speaking at a meeting of the Economic Advisory Council in Islamabad, Mr. Dar said the overwhelming growth of economy will be a hallmark achievement of the PML-N government.

Sharing another good news for Business community and general public of Pakistan he said that inflation has also been stable.

Mr. Dar highlighted the initiatives taken by the government to eliminate bottlenecks in the energy sector.

Pakistan is among those countries whom facing serious energy crisis and the limited power production as compare to the demand.

He said seven thousand megawatts of new generation capacity would be added to the national grid by 2018 to overcome the energy crisis.

The Economic Advisory Council endorsed Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s proposal for signing a Charter of Economy by all political parties.

Participants of the meeting agreed that economic development of the country should be above all other considerations and remain so irrespective of the change of regimes.

The meeting also expressed consensus on continued economic reforms.

Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Tariq Bajwa apprised the meeting about the reform measures being carried out by FBR to broaden the tax base and improve tax administration.
