NEW DELHI – Afghan President Hamid karzai has said that the dialogues would only be held with those Taliban who wanted peace in Afghanistan, adding that the government will not hold dialogues with the Taliban who are agents of the foreign intelligence agencies.
Meanwhile India and Afghanistan have agreed to enhance cooperation for the protection of Afghan national security, enhancement of operational capabilities of Afghan forces, defence and security.
During an interview with the Indian newspaper “India today” Karzai said they know who promoted terrorism in the region, adding that with the cooperation of Indian the militants coming across the border would be eliminated. He said that if Islamabad would cooperate in war against terrorism then it will more beneficial for New Delhi and Kabul.
Karazi said for the development of Afghanistan and stability of region they seek cooperation of democratic institutions of India.
Hamid Karzai said his talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh were held regarding training of forces and purchase of equipments. Karzai said he had extended invitation for Indian investment in Afghanistan, adding India could become the first country to take benefit from the 30 trillion dollars natural resources.
