Vested political interests of Nawaz Sharif, mainly to acquire reasonable votes in upcoming senate elections, stops him to take any speedy action over Baldia Town factory carnage even when investigation report is already present.

Even after detailed briefing of DG Rangers, corps commander Karachi and JIT report, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif still demands for more briefing on Baldia Town carnage.

Nawaz Sharif’s strong and sudden backlash on Baldia Town carnage came only after MQM joined PPP in Sindh. This also means that MQM is going to vote in favor of PPP in Senate’s chairmanship.

Currently PML-N has 16 seats in senate, eight of them to be retired, whereas PPP has 40 seats out of which 21 will be retired soon. MQM’s bonding with PPP will meet PML-N a tough time in elections.

Nawaz sharif wants MQM to stay away the game if it can not put weight into PML-N side.

MQM Chief Altaf hussain’s recent remarks about ISI’s involvement in 12 May tragedy of Karachi can also be not neglected but situation gets more complex when former chief minister of Punjab Pervaiz Elahi reveals with concrete evidences (which has not displayed openly yet) about ISI’s plans to assassinate former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhary.

Whatever the power politics going on in country, a common man is suffering from either side. PM should take action against MQM if he really meant “Nation is now looking towards NAP’s implementations.”
