Civil Service Reforms Geared Up To Ensure Public Welfare .PakistanTribe.Com

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani premier is not happy with every day crises in country as he orders to replace the incompetent officers of civil service with the competent one to divert country towards prosperity, PakistanTribe reported.

Premier Nawaz Sharif chairing a meeting in Prime Minister (PM) house ordered the concerned authorities to replace the incompetent officers with the competent so that national institutions may be driven to the way of development.

He further ordered to impose tight filters on selection and promotions of officer.

Premier said, that various officers, even at senior levels, are lacking in competence and initiative which is hampering service delivery to the people.

He called the next meeting on Thursday to review progress on the matter.

Nawaz Sharif further said that the priority of PML-N government is economic growth and structural reforms both in the long and short terms.

He was also concerned with the salaries of civil servants as he ensured that salaries must be improved to give better incentives to bureaucracy.

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of State for Information Technology Anusha Rehman along with Tariq Fatemi, Khawaja Zaheer and Danial Aziz were among those who attended the meeting.

It is pertinent to mention that recent oil crises had jolted the government and the senior officers of PSO were suspended as it was believed that they are not competent to run the institution.
