MUZAFFARABAD – Two Days passed for the suspension of trade on Pak-India line of control as Indian authorities have blocked the trucks following the recovery of drugs from a truck carrying oranges from Chakothi sector of occupied Kashmir to Muzaffarabad.
Two days before Indian authorities had seized the trade as the truck was captured involve in drug smuggling across the border. Following that activity police have seized the the trade.
Indian authorities impounded 22 trucks carrying trading goods from Pakistan. Indian authorities claim that heroin was being smuggled in the trucks carrying boxes of oranges.
In response to India the Azad Kashmir Trade and Travel Authority (Tata) also to return 50 trucks coming from India through Kashmir.
Officials of Azad Kashmir Trade and Travel Authority said that until and unless Indian authorities provide evidence with regards to the drug smuggling allegation and return the 22 seized trucks, the 50 trucks held by them will not be permitted to return.
It is worth mentioning that for the last two months Pakistan and India are not in good terms at diplomatic front and at border. Couple of incidents have been reported also for Indian Border Security Forces’ attack on Rangers and innocent civilian in Sialkot and Jammu sector.
