KARACHI: University of Karachi beat Iqra University Karachi in the All Karachi Intercity Volleyball tournament to move on to the All Pakistan Volleyball Championship in Islamabad. University of Karachi defeated Iqra University in a sensational match at the Institute of Business Management Karachi.
University of Karachi defeated Iqra University in four sets by 22-25, 25-23, 25-20 and 25-22. President Institute of Business Management, Shahejahan S. Karim was the chief guest of the final.
Twelve top universities of Karachi participated in the event including, Agha Khan University, Indus University, Sir Syed University, Greenwich University and Iqra University. The tournament was played in league system from 2nd to 4th February.
University of Karachi would now face universities from all over Pakistan during March in Islamabad. Speaking to Pakistan Tribe representative player from Mass Communication Department, University of Karachi Adnan Burcha stated that, “We are very happy to become Karachi Champions and we will put in everything to become Pakistan Champions in March.”
