ISLAMABAD/LAHORE – Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif announced that the per liter oil prices have been further reduced by Rs7.99, with the new at Rs70.29 per liter, PakistanTribe reported.
As PakistanTribe had already reported about the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) summary sent to premier for approval for further decrease in prices of oil. Prime Minister has approved the summary and prices of oil has been reduced by Rs7.99.
Prime Minister further said that new price of HBOC will be Rs11.82 per liter, kerosene oil Rs10.48 , light diesel oil Rs9.56 and high diesel oil by Rs5.62 per liter. The per liter price of High Octane Blending Component (HOBC) has come down from Rs92 to Rs80.18.
The price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs5.62 per litre bringing its price down to Rs80.61 per litre from Rs86.23 per liter.
The price of light diesel oil was cut down from Rs67.5 per liter to Rs Rs57.94 per liter.
The price of Kerosene oil, which is used as kitchen fuel in remote areas of the country, came down to Rs61.44 per litre from Rs71.92 per liter.
Premier further said that maximum benifits have been passed on to end consumer.
“Farmers will receive a benefit of thousands of rupees as a result of the price cut,” he said, “I want the people to receive not just cheap petrol but cheaper electricity as well,” Premier added.
