ISLAMABAD – Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said that Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal has been constructed in Karachi which will enhance Power Generation, PakistanTrabe.com reported.
In a Press Conference talking to media persons in Peshawar, Abid Sher Ali said that steps were being taken to generate the Power through LNG.
“LNG terminal has been completed which will increase the Power output” he said.
Abid Sher Ali revealed that 1800 Megawatts Power will be included into National Grid Station before the summer season.
He added that eight percent gas shortage will be overcome in next winters due to the LNG terminal.
It is pertinent to mention that Minster of Water and Power Khwaja Muhammad Asif has also said that power will be generated through Coal and LNG on last Wednesday.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif further added that sufficient water was not available in the Canals and rivers particularly in winter season which created problems for electricity production.
