Nawaz visits South African Embassy to condole Mandela’s death | PakistanTribeISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif visited the South African Embassy on Thursday to express his condolence over the death of the country’s legendary leader, Nelson Mandella.

Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the people of South Africa. On this occasion, the PM said that death of Nelson Mandella was a great loss to the world. He was a man of foresight and great wisdom, and his services towards reconciliation, human rights, and democracy will be remembered, PM added.

Prime Minister recalled his meeting with Nelson Mandella in 1991 in Harare and said that it was an honour and pleasure meeting such a great person. Mr. Nelson Mandella twice visited Pakistan and he wanted peaceful resolution to the issues between Pakistan and India, PM told.

In his remarks in Condolence Book PM said Mr. Mandella memory will serve as a beacon for the coming generations in their quest for human dignity and equality.
