NEWYORK – Facebook and Instagram again starts working as few hours back their links were down due to the technical difficulties. 

One of  the most popular social networking sites, are back online after experiencing technical difficulties on Tuesday morning, shutting out users for just under an hour.

Users who tried to enter the sites were denied access.

“Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can,” Facebook said on its website.

Users from the United States and India reported that they were unable to log on to the website.

Representatives at Facebook were not immediately available for comment.

Founded in 2003 by Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook has grown into the most popular social networking site in the world with an estimated 1.3 billion active users.

In February 2012, the company, which is headquartered in Menlo Park, Carlifornia, held an initial public offering that led to a peak market capitalization of $104 billion.
