“Afridi Should Playing T20 World Cup As Captain”

Afridi to be captain for twenty20 world up

Afridi to be captain for t20 world cupKARACHI – Former Skipper and talented wicket keeper Rashid Latif says that Shahid Afridi shouldn’t retire after the world cup.

Afridi had announed to get retired from the ODI cricket after the mega event, a decision backed by some and differed by some.

Latif is the one who has asked to reviewing the decision.

“This is not the right time for him to get the retirement. Misbah ul Haq has announced to get retired and in such a time Pakistan needs Afridi for at least one year,” he further said.

“Pakistan will need aggressive captaincy of Afridi for one year till the Twenty20 World Cup.”

“It’s not a wise decision to develop a new team with an inexperienced captain, so Afridi should review his decision to take up captaincy till the T20 world cup.”

Rashid also opposed the idea of different captains for different format of cricket.

He viewed that different skippers would not bear fruits for the Pakistan team.

“Rather, it will create confusion in the team as Pakistan players usually feel comfortable with one captain.”

He reinforced his opinion saying Pakistan Cricket Board should keep Afridi as the captain till it not develops the new captain.
