ARKANSAS – A former police officer in Arkansas USA, requests for his job back as he was terminated over charge of whistling on a prostitute, PakistanTribe received international media reports.
He believes that he was unlawfully terminated for blowing the whistle on a colleague’s sexual misconduct with a prostitute.
The former Police officer who was identified as Sgt. Don Paul Bales, was employed in Fort Smith, Arkansas who was terminated for whistling on a prostitute.
USA is one of the country where prostitution is considered an occupation. Those involved in this affairs are regarded as ‘sex workers’. According to the statistics available with World Health Organization (WHO) USA is also one of the countries with the highest numbers of HIV-AIDS patients.
The police department subsequently fired Sgt Don Paul Bales after his attorney placed a redacted version of the probable cause affidavit on his web blog.
The blog shows the undercover officer’s name, meaning Bales shared the name of an undercover officer with his attorney, someone who is not a law enforcement officer, the police department contends.
According to the station, Don Paul Bales was fired from the Fort Smith Police Department on Oct. 20 for allegedly violating several department rules and regulations related to his sharing of a confidential probable cause affidavit with his attorney.
Now Bales is suing to get his job back, saying any sharing of a probable cause affidavit with his attorney is part of attorney-client privilege, and that the officer’s identity was not compromised by the version of the arrest report that appeared on his attorney’s web blog.
